5 Year Old Pictures

Ok so Eli has been 5 for awhile but I just got the disc with the pictures and I LOVE them. Here are a few.

Yesterday

All our troubles were so far away.

We had the best day together. We started the day with some sledding. The picture of me is when I tried to do a really cool move but slid off the tube into the snow.

We went to lunch, bought Eli more video games (Stewart's idea), and Stewart learned the proper way to jab his wife with needles.

Eli said it best this morning after he realized that Stewart was back at work. 'Oh that's too bad, we didn't get to spend enough time with Dad."

AMEN to that.

Pass the Gun Please

Stewart and I are now permitted to carry a concealed weapon. I know, scary...if you are a bad guy.

This is the gun that I want. Isn't is pretty?!

Side note: Stewart is more in love with me now than ever because I just looked up guns on the internet.

Effusive Eli

I've noticed that Eli will be talking to me and I answer "uh huh" and "really" and after about 15 minutes he's still going strong and I have no idea what he's talking about! It makes me feel like a bad mom but seriously, he can sometimes talk non-stop!

I have managed to remember a few funny things that he's said recently though.

Eli:I know a nickname for Danny.
Me: What?
Eli: Dan.
Me: Oh yeah.
Eli: A nickname for Mike is Crazy Mike.

After Eli made his blanket I told him he could take it over to Mikes house. He said, "what if Ally wants to cuddle?" And the tone was more like he was saying, "I hope Ally wants to cuddle." If you remember this post you will know why Mike was glad Ally wasn't home.

Since we are on the subject of Ally here are two more instances that lead me to believe Eli has a little crush on her.

We were talking about how Eli likes oatmeal at breakfast one morning. Eli said "yeah oatmeal is likable." I said "I think you are likable." Eli said "Ally is likable too."

At dinner one night Eli really thought the waitress was cute. On the way home he was talking about the waitress so I asked him what he thought was cute about her. He said "she had cute hair and circle earrings like Ally."

For the kicker. After church today Eli asked me why church was so boring and why is it hard for kids to sit still. I wish I had an answer for that!
