My Name

My name is Becca and this is what I'm all about:

What Becca Means

You are full of energy. You are spirited and boisterous.
You are bold and daring. You are willing to do some pretty outrageous things.
Your high energy sometimes gets you in trouble. You can have a pretty bad temper at times.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily.
You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.
A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

I think that a lot of this fits...except the perfectionist stuff. That's not me at all.

Random Bag of Crap

I am obsessed with this website. I check it, pretty much, every night at 11:00 pm which is when they put the new deal of the day up. Anyway, they once in a while will put up something called the "random bag of crap." Basically for 1 dollar plus 5.00 shipping they will send you a bag of stuff. This random bag of crap is very desirable and if you ever get one I will worship you. I was thisclose to getting one once but I couldn't remember the magical 3 digit # on the back of my debit card! By the time I got it they were sold out...they sell out in about 5.6 seconds so the fact I got that close was pretty good.

Anyway I haven't posted for SO long because I don't think that I have anything good to talk about. This post is going to be my random bag of crap post because there have been a few things to say but nothing worthy of it's own post.

1-I tried to get a picture of Red Pants but the picture wouldn't have looked good and I missed out on some of the routine so I was lost like the rest of the time. Today's step class was the best one yet. It was really fun and I did better than usual. I only missed steps about 20% of the time.

2-There is a kid that rides a unicycle to school. It's hilarious!

3-Eli to Stewart: "I'm going to destroy you."

4-I hate word verification when you post comments on people's blogs. Is there a reason for it? Let's discuss?

5-I HATE spinning class. Why is it SO freaking hard and boring and why are the seats so hard?! My pubic bone is bruised! Bruised I tell you...sorry that I said pubic.

6- I seriously hate the word scalp. It kinda makes me sick.

7-I bought 8 boxes of total cereal for $5.30. I LOVE SALES.

8-I made dinner last night! It was so good it. It's called Crock Pot Chicken Alfredo. It's so fattening and so good. I'm going to make something healthy tonight...in fact my goal is to cook every night this week.

Well I guess that's everything. I have to get Eli ready for school or I could keep going. I guess this is what happens when I'm silent for too long.

Are you a Loser?

If you want to join a fun new weight loss challenge then you should click HERE. My friend put together a biggest loser type challenge that should be fun since we don't have to do weigh-ins in our sports bras and spandex pants. I think that the more people we get the more fun this will be. So tell everyone that you think would be interested.

Crushed Dreams

Well, my dreams are crushed! Last night Stewart and I went on a Hot Date and one of the things that we did was to go roller skating. Since last year I have dreamed of being a Derby Girl. If you have not ever been to the roller derby I feel bad for you. If you have been then you are awesome. After the first time I just knew that I needed to be a Derby Girl.

Now I remember skating as a young girl and it wasn't pretty. I was the kid that would stay on the outside edge of the rink and hold on to the wall. Since watching the Derby Girls I was pretty sure that I would be able to skate. I had visions of it all coming back to me with my wisdom and knowledge that comes with getting older I thought that I would be able to "get it" and skate like the wind. This did not happen. I was so stressed and scared and wobbly. It was so crazy! It made me see that I will never be able to be a Derby Girl because it was hard enough to stay up on my own let alone with 5 girls trying to push me down. I feel kind of sad but I guess I can still show my support for the Roller Derby by going to the bouts. If you are in need of an awesomely awesome time come with us. The season starts in April. Click on the picture to get more info about the Derby Girls.

P.S. This is my 100th post!

No Words

Eli peed on the bathroom counter. On purpose. That's really all I have to say about that...except thank goodness this day is almost over.

Dinner Time...AGAIN?

I'm so sick of making dinner. Well not really making it but thinking of what to make. We had sushi Tuesday night and that took all of my creative juices for the next two weeks. I need everyone to post and tell me what they had for dinner LAST night. I just need to know what people are eating besides spaghetti, pizza, and breakfast for dinner.

If you have read this blog then you HAVE to post. It's written in really fine print somewhere on this blog.

Good News

Red Pants was at step aerobics! He was about 10 minutes late so I was getting really worried but he didn't let me down. When I saw him I looked at my friend and said "YES!" He wore the red pants today because that IS his cutest outfit. The bad news is that I wasn't behind him so it was harder to watch him.

Today was harder than last week for 3 reasons: 1-I'm sore from yesterday...it really hurts. 2-The instructor added all these crazy new steps which really confused me even though he had a cold which got my hopes up that it would be an easier day today. He just called out instructions instead of doing the moves when he got tired. 3-I tried to watch Red Pants and would get completely thrown off.

And In Other Becca News...

I worked out with a personal trainer today. I got 1 free session with my new gym membership. It was really fun and REALLY hard. I thought that she was really mean when she made me do like a million squats and lunges...it wasn't really a million but it felt like it. I would love to have a personal trainer but since I can't afford it I'll just have to follow one around and do whatever they are telling other people to do.

So I'm no longer a primary chorister. I'm SO sad and MAD! They totally dissolved my ward and split us up so some of my friends and in one ward and some are in another. Oh and they moved me to 9:00 church! I hate 9:00 church. I had 2 wonderful weeks at 1:00 church just to have it rudely taken away from me. :( Now I'm going to have to go to boring Sunday school and boring relief society.

And I guess that that's all of my news...except I'm pregnant...wait, no I'm not. I just felt like I needed to make some big announcement since my name is in the blog post and it made it sound like something really important was going to be said. I have nothing important to say and I'm NOT pregnant...I promise.

Smarty Pants in ASL

So about a week ago Eli and I were waiting for the car to get fixed at the mechanics. Eli was really bored so I taught him how to do his name in sign language. He did it a few times and then he figured out that he could spell his whole name with both hands. I thought that he was so smart to figure that out! Of course you have to be Japanese or something to read it. What ever that country it that reads from right to left.

The Truth

Stewart has been known to exaggerate a story. He is, by nature, a story teller so anything that adds that little extra umph to a story is fair game. If you read Stewart's blog you may have read this post. This was NOT one of those stories that Stewart exaggerated. For further proof I took pictures when Stewart was doing his sit ups today.

Exercise Challenge

On the left you will notice a link to an exercise challenge or you can click HERE.

My friend in all her geniosity (I know, not a real word) started this exercise challenge. It's for anyone who wants to do it. If you need a little boost in your exercise regime or need some motivation you can check it out and sign up for the challenge...really sign up.

Speaking of exercising I did a step aerobics class this morning. It was fun/confusing/embarrassing. BUT on the plus side there was a flaming homo wearing red workout pants.

Imagine these pants but red and on a man. That's pretty much how it was. He was right in front of me and was going nuts on his workout. he added his own extra turns, kicks, and hops. It made the whole workout bearable and I will definitely be back next week hoping to see this person.

Plant For Sale

I have 2 plants. I hate having plants. You have to take care of them and I forget to take care of them. My poor plant on the left looked like this for like 3 days before I decided to water it. I REALLY want it to die but I can't just kill it because it makes me feel guilty. I also want to throw it away but again the guilt kicks in. My plant on the right used to be really beautiful but has slowly died off. This last part is hearty and just won't die though.

Why won't a bugler break in and take my plants?! This would solve everything! They would be gone and their lives wouldn't be on my hands.

The Wonderful Husband Strikes Again.

You guys probably thought that Stewart and I were getting divorced since I haven't posted a flower picture for so long! :) We are still going strong, we just haven't had anything really good or really bad happen for a while. I love these flowers and they smell SO nice! If you are a man reading this you should hurry and order flowers for your wife. I know that Stewart makes me so happy to know that he has thought about me!

I love you Stewart.

Ladies Man

See Stewart tries to steal the good posts but he doesn't know the whole story!

Eli got this shirt from his aunt Leesa and uncle Jed for Christmas. He hasn't seen it since that day but yesterday I pulled it out ready for the "great shirt fight of 2008." To my surprise Eli saw it and said, "is that my ladies man shirt?"

He put it on and about an hour later he said, "do ladies mans have horns?" I said, "do you think that they do?" since I wasn't sure what the right answer was. He said that they did have horns.

Then all day he'd say, "look what ladies mans can do." (Sometimes it was "lady mans"...sorry Stewart.) And he'd do some kind of crazy stunt like running toward the couch, making a turn and jumping sideways on the couch. Sometimes it was spinning really fast in a circle, and sometimes it was running really fast. As to whether or not it would attract the "ladies" I'm not sure but Eli and I sure thought that he was pretty dang cool.

Eli says:

Eli is so cute. Stewart went rabbit hunting with my brothers on Saturday and so Eli and I were home alone. After breakfast Eli said, "I think that we should clean up this messy house." So we cleaned his room and the front room and managed to find homes for all his new toys. He helped vacuum and everything! After that I suggested that we take down the Christmas Tree. I thought that I would get some really heavy arguments but Eli said, "yeah cuz Christmas is over." So he helped me put Christmas away. He's such a sweet boy and really good helper.

After we were done we went to the store and I let him choose a treat for being such a helper. He choose some "Bubble Tape" which happens to come in a pink container. On the way out to the car he said, "pink is a boy color now. Boys like pink." I think that he was making himself feel better about choosing pink candy.

Stewart's taking all the good blogs.

Stewart posted a blog about New Years and snowshoeing and he really did them justice so now I can't really post about them!

I do want to talk about something that is VERY important that I learned on New Years Eve. I have found a drink that is, to quote Danny, made out of angel and/or baby tears. It is sweet liquid ambrosia and sugar in the purest most heavenly form that I have EVER tasted. This Heavenly drink is known as Jones Cream Soda. Hopefully it's really expensive so that I don't become diabetic from this sinfully delicious drink...it could be worth it...I don't know, I'll think about it.

We have had a great year. It has had it's ups and downs...lot's of downs now that I think about it...but I'm just so glad for what I have. I'm glad that through all my trials I have a wonderful partner to face them with. Home is such a wonderful place with Stewart and Eli. I love having a family to love and receive love from. I do hope that I can be the best mom and wife that I can be in this new year. I hope that everyone has a wonderful year and that all your wishes some true...and that you get to drink some Jones Cream Soda.
